It has been 23 years since the Kargil war. This day reminds us of the sacrifice, patriotism, courage, valor and dedication of Indians soldiers.

After winning Hump and Raki Nab, vikram batra was made captain.

After which Vikram Batra liberated the highest peak-5140 of the Srinagar-Leh road from the Pak army.

It was only after this victory that Vikram Batra came to be called Sher Shah along with Kargil ka sher.

On 7 July 1999, Captain Vikram Batra was martyred while saving his companion.

Posthumously, the Government of India honored him with the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery and valor.
