Texas Department of Public Safety Lieutenant Chris Oliverez said a man wearing body armor fired hundreds of rounds, killing 19 children and two adults.

A senior US Department of Homeland Security official told USA Today on Tuesday night that a US border guarding agent shot and killed the gunman.

Texas Department of Public Security Sergeant Eric Estrada said the gunman had also shot his grandmother before the incident.

Federal law enforcement officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the death toll was expected to rise. There is no exact information about how many have been injured.

According to information, the person who opened fire has been identified as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, a resident of Uvalde. He was killed in an encounter with the security personnel.

This sad incident has hurt not only America but the whole world. The whole world is in mourning with the parents of 19 children.

On the other hand, US President Joe Biden spoke to the families of the victims and promised to provide all possible help.

Along with this, the President has given instructions to make them more strict by changing the law of the gun.
